Story
2020 was a difficult year for many charities, and Together in Barnet was no exception. Our brilliant team has had to adapt from our usual model of using our churches, synagogues and mosques as hosts to the Night Shelter, to one in which the shelter was based in a hotel. We continued to provide meals, support, and regular health checks for our clients, and our commitment to providing the whatever care we could to those in Barnet who are most in need never waivered.
We were delighted to have received a considerable grant to fund the hotel project, which will continue into the winter of 2021-2022. However, we still need to cover our basic running costs, which are not covered by the grant, and none of the important human contributions to the lives of our clients - hot meals, a welcome face, someone to chat and listen - could be delivered without your continued support.
So please come out to walk with us on 31 October, and if you can please consider donating something to help Together in Barnet continue to provide support to some of the most vulnerable people in our local community.
