Story
We are redefining what life alongside cancer looks like for people in their 20s and 30s. Facing the curveball of cancer when you're just figuring out life means living unlikely parallels. The 14,600 diagnosed every year are too old for childhood services and the youngest on adult wards by decades. The impact? They're left without support recognising their unique needs, leaving them lost and isolated.
We're the only charity in the UK that helps this group navigate life through and beyond an experience that doesn’t stop when treatment ends. Our range of support services and resources help our community get informed, get connected, get active and get heard. From exercise to friendships, sex to nutrition - we're here for it all.
Tom was diagnosed with testicular cancer when he was 35. He found Trekstock and soon realised he didn’t have to face cancer alone:
"Facing cancer as a young person is tough and comes with a complex set of challenges that can effectively place your life on hold when everyone else can appear to be moving forward. For me, this has had a knock-on effect on my confidence, leaving me with increased anxiety and has culminated in a recent diagnosis of clinical depression. This is where Trekstock came in to help."
With your support we can be a helping hand for more young people like Tom across the UK. Whether we’re helping our community feel less alone, building their confidence, supporting them in getting active or improving their overall quality of life through and beyond treatment, we couldn’t do it without you.
