An estimated 136,000 people are living in slavery in the UK (Global Slavery Index 2019). That's more than two victims for every thousand people in the country. This needs to stop.

Our ability to run and explore the trails, as we do, is a privilege which many people are not free to enjoy. We're taking the opportunity to Run Free as a chance to change this. On Saturday 30th October, the TRIBE community is joining forces with Maverick to run free and fight modern slavery.

How?

TRIBE Freedom Foundation is on a mission to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. We work by raising awareness of trafficking, supporting survivors and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. We empower communities to create an impact.

Our goal is to raise £10,000 which would help to support the running costs of one of the TRIBE-funded Survivor Safehouses for two months, providing safe accommodation and holistic support for survivors of modern slavery. Anything you can help to raise towards this will have a huge impact.

COVID-19: During the pandemic, more adults and children who are already in, or vulnerable to modern slavery, are at an even higher risk of exploitation. As a result, the need for holistic, trauma-informed survivor support is greater than ever.
