Emergency Campaign for Trans, Non-Binary & Intersex People in Northern Ireland
In the wake of the recent UK Supreme Court ruling, many trans, non-binary, and intersex people in Northern Ireland have been left feeling anxious, uncertain — and afraid.
While the full legal impact of this ruling on Northern Ireland is still being assessed, we know one thing for sure: people need support now. This campaign will help us offer immediate care and explore the longer-term legal implications.
‼️What Your Donation Can Do‼️

🫵 Why We Need You 🫵
At The Rainbow Project, we’re already:
Delivering free mental health counselling and crisis support
Running befriending services, peer-led support groups, and our Rainbow Youth service
Partnering with legal experts to help people understand their rights
Advocating for our community in every area: the media, in politics, and in wider society
But demand is growing — fast.
In the days following the Supreme Court judgement, countless transgender people reached out to the Rainbow Project for support. At a last-minute 'Open House' session, around 40 trans people turned up seeking advice, support, and someone to listen.
Over the Easter weekend, over 4,000 emails were sent to local MLAs through our campaign, calling for protection and support for trans, non-binary, and intersex people. That response shows just how urgent this moment is — and how much people care.
Trans, non-binary and intersex people urgently need your support: your emails, your voices, and, yes, your donations. We need to meet this crisis with real, tangible help: counselling, legal advice, safe spaces, and solidarity.

If you can donate — please do.
If you can’t donate — please share.
Share with your family, your friends, your local MLA — or someone who might need us. You never know who it could reach, or how much it could mean.
Together, we can show trans, non-binary, and intersex people in Northern Ireland:
You are seen. You are supported. You are not alone.
Thank you for standing with us.
