Ukrainian Medical Charity (UMC) invites you to become a Lifesaver4Ukraine by running Miles for Independence — a lifesaver supporting Ukrainian children in need.

Run, jog, or walk any distance — alone or with friends — and raise funds for Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kharkiv OKHMATDYT— IOZDP, the largest tertiary centre for children. Kharkiv is a city in Northeastern Ukraine that has been continuously bombed since the invasion. Your steps and fundraising will help purchase vital equipment for the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing life-saving care for sick and injured children, many of whom are forced to shelter underground.

The children that OKHMATDYT cares for often have very severe cases of congenital heart disease, rheumatological patients, endocrine conditions, gastrointestinal diseases and severe psychiatry patients.

Together, we’ll aim to cover the distance from London, UK, to Kharkiv, Ukraine — 1,818 miles — each mile a step toward Ukrainian freedom and healing.
