In 2025, the United Kingdom will mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) and Victory in Japan (VJ) Day, a momentous occasion that symbolises the end of World War II. This milestone is a time to reflect on the bravery and resilience of those who served, particularly the Royal Marines, whose motto "Per Mare, Per Terram" (By Sea, By Land) defines their unwavering commitment to completing their missions by whatever means necessary.
For eight decades, the courage and sacrifice of the Royal Marines have inspired generations. They played a crucial role in securing victory, fighting on land and sea to defend our freedoms. Today, we honour their legacy by supporting serving and veteran Royal Marines and their families, ensuring that the values they fought for - courage, resilience, and unity - live on.
Through our JustGiving campaign, we aim to raise funds to support serving and veteran Royal Marines, their families, and future generations. Every donation makes a difference in preserving history and supporting those who served or have served. We are asking you to raise £80, or complete 80 miles, in whichever way you choose - by sea or by land.
Whether through a donation, taking on your own event, sharing our campaign or simply spreading awareness of the charity and the work we do, your support matters.
Together, we honour the past, support the present and inspire the future. Thank you for your generosity!
