Story
Expedition Vidda
In March 2027, a team of wounded, injured and sick veterans will attempt something never before achieved: a full, unsupported winter crossing of Norway’s vast Finnmarksvidda plateau — led by 4 amputees. Covering 100km over five days in temperatures that can drop below –30°C, the team will ski across one of Europe’s last true wildernesses, hauling their own supplies and surviving entirely without external support.
This is more than an expedition. It is a statement of possibility.
Every member of the adaptive team has rebuilt their life after life‑changing injury, supported by the Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team (AFPST). Now, they are taking on the toughest challenge of their lives to give back, raising vital funds so AFPST can continue helping others rediscover purpose, confidence and community through sport.
Expedition Vidda is about choosing hardship to show what’s possible. It’s about proving that capability is built, not predetermined. It’s about demonstrating that with the right support, people can go further than they ever believed even into the Arctic.
Your support will directly fund AFPST’s work, enabling more wounded, injured and sick veterans to access life‑changing rehabilitation through adaptive snowsport. Every donation helps someone at their lowest point rediscover hope, identity and the belief that they can redefine their own limits.
This is a world‑first challenge. A team built on grit, humility and purpose. And an opportunity to help change lives.
Stand with us. Support the team. Be part of redefining the impossible.
