Story
When I left Kosovo five years ago, I had to leave everything behind so I could provide a better education for my children in the UK.
Although, my background is in acting and journalism, I ended up working as a TA in 'Torriano Primary School' where my children study as well. They settled very quickly and the school was very supportive and welcoming and we quickly became part of the school community.
Despite the government cuts in Educational Institutions, Torriano staff try their best to provide a better education for all the students regardless of their background and circumstances. Therefore, as a reward for their hard work I've decided to dedicate my first Marathon to the school. I hope to raise money to assist the school in improving the grounds with new water fountains and a running track.
Our kids and the staff of the school spend many hours of their lives there and deserve an ever improving environment in which to flourish and bloom.
