In 2013 Lt Col Carl Meyer set up The Veterans Orthopaedic Service at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Knowing there was incredible need, to see patients who had long term conditions requiring specialist care.

Since inception the service has had over 2419 patient consultations with an extensive waiting list to see more. There are over 5 million Veterans living in the UK alone so we know there are more that need our help.

A new bespoke Veterans Orthopaedic Centre is to be built on site, the dedicated building is due for completion in 2022. The aim is to provide a service that truly supports Veterans in the way they should expect and deserve.

This fund aims to enhance the continued development of this service.
