At Wade Street Church, we believe in putting Jesus and his teachings at the heart of everything we do. Jesus spent a lot of his time on earth helping the least fortunate and those most in need. Our faith in him motivates us to do the same... so in 2025, we're focusing on water.

Water is life!

703 million people still lack basic drinking water access (about 1 out of every 11 people on the planet). Water is an essential building block of life that allows children and their communities to survive and flourish.

Girls and boys that don't have to fetch water can go to school. Women that don't have to haul water can start small businesses to support their families. Parents that have clean water nearby don't have to give dirty water to their children.

Along with our partners, World Vision, we're planning to bring clean water to two communities in sub-Saharan Africa. World Vision is a world leader in delivering clean water to the developing world, with a strong track record of sustainability and community partnership. We're 100% confident in their ability to deliver.

To do our part, we need to raise £24,000*.

*We're already well on our way. A generous church member has pledged a match fund of £12,000. So for every pound raised, another will be given, until we reach £24,000.

We're excited to set this ambitious goal as a community. And we look forward to sharing the story of a community transformed. We believe we will be transformed ourselves in the process too!
