We are the HOPE Runners!

HOPE Runners is a running collective. We're running 8,105km together as a team through 2025, raising money to help bring clean water to communities in Africa (likely Zambia and Ghana).

8,105km is the distance from Lichfield to Lusaka in Zambia. Through our running (and your support!), we're helping to bring clean water to a community in need through our expert partners World Vision, the leading NGO provider of clean water in the developing world..

Our effort is part of Wade Street Church's (Lichfield) Water Warriors commitment. As of January 26th 2025, there are 19 of us taking on the challenge, so it will be quite a feat!

Along with Wade Street Church's partners, World Vision, we're planning to bring clean water to a community in sub-Saharan Africa. World Vision is a world leader in delivering clean water to the developing world, with a strong track record of sustainability and community partnership. We're 100% confident in their ability to deliver.

As a collective, the HOPE Runners hope to raise £2,000 towards the total goal of £12,000.

At Wade Street Church in Lichfield, we believe in putting Jesus and his teachings at the heart of everything we do. Jesus spent a lot of his time on earth helping the least fortunate and those most in need. Our faith in him motivates us to do the same.

In 2025, we're focusing on water. Water is life! Water is an essential building block of life that allows children and their communities to survive and flourish.

We're already well on our way. A generous church member has pledged a match fund of £6,000. So for every pound raised, another will be given, until we reach £12,000.
