Support Bar-Ilan's serving students giving them peace of mind to focus on their studies and military service.
Bar-Ilan University currently has 1,542 serving students, with 952 in active duty in Gaza and the North. These student reservists are having to overcome financial challenges, juggling their studies whilst defending their country.
Before the war, many students held part-time jobs to cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, and day-to-day living expenses. But their military service now prevents them from holding these jobs. As a result, many are facing financial challenges.
To help, in the immediate aftermath of October 7th, Bar-Ilan set up an emergency fund to provide financial support for serving students. Over $5million was raised and was used to cover tuition fees, rent and living costs for reservists, their spouses and evacuees.
As the fighting sadly resumes, our students keep serving but many continue to face financial challenges.
Today, we’re asking you to support our serving students, helping alleviate their financial burden so they can focus on their studies and military duties.
You can support our students by giving through this JustGiving page. Alternatively, please send a cheque/charity voucher, made payable to ‘British Friends of Bar-Ilan University’ to: British Friends of Bar-Ilan University, 110 Chandos Avenue, London, N20 9DZ
