Welcare provides practical and emotional support to families with children up to 13 across South London and East Surrey. We strengthen families, empower parents, and help children thrive by offering early, tailored support that builds resilience and confidence.

Each year, we work with more than 800 families. Offering preventative interventions that empower families struggling with a range of complex and interlinking challenges, particularly domestic abuse, as well as parental conflict, family breakdown, mental health challenges, social isolation, and financial pressures worsened by the cost‑of‑living crisis.

Our dedicated Family Support Workers deliver whole‑family one‑to‑one support, group programmes for parents and children, and practical or financial help when it’s needed most. They help families draw on their skills and strengths to nurture secure, confident children who have the best chance to flourish.

This year, Team Welcare is taking on the Saucony London 10k to raise vital funds for our work. Our fantastic runners include Trustees, staff, friends, family members, and long‑standing supporters—like the amazing Sue, who has run the 10k for Welcare for many years.
