Story

Wheels for Waldenstrom's is a truly unique fundraising event to raise funds for WMUK, the only UK charity for Waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia (WM). The bike ride will see WM patients and their consultants, side by side, riding from London to Paris (although the ride is open to friends and family too).

As well as raising funds for the charity, and raising awareness of this rare blood cancer, the true team spirit of the WM community is at the heart of this event.

The first ever Wheels for Waldenstrom's takes place from Friday 25th August departing from UCLH London until Sunday 27th August when we arrive at the main WM treatment Centre in Paris University Hospitals Pitie Saltpetriere (via the Eiffel Tower of course).

Four of our WM experts will be riding with us; Prof Guy Pratt, (Birmingham), Dr Shirley D'Sa (UCLH), Dr Helen McCarthy (Bournemouth) and Dr Renata Walewska (also Bournemouth) in support of and alongside some of their WM patients.

This commitment by some of the most respected professionals in the WM community highlights their dedication to WM patients and to WMUK.

Every penny you donate will go directly to helping our charity to support patients with WM and their families.
