Story
After our recent LNADJ's recent visit to Sierra Leone to support the community at Wayout arts , Jonny (founder ) Steve Mac (Producer) & Jono Heale(musician ,trustee) met many individuals who were engaged in the music / film/ art provided at Wayout, yet are living on the street each day...
On returning to the UK for Christmas it felt the right thing to do and run a campaign to provide a place called home for many we had met. Sharing this gift of a home with our own families and friends instead of buying gifts we can do without felt the right thing to do this Christmas.
Every night in Sierra Leone, children and young people sleep on the streets — exposed to violence, hunger, illness, and fear.
For many, the street is not a choice, but the only option left to them.
A safe home changes everything.
When a young person moves from the street into a home, they gain more than a roof. They gain safety, stability, and hope. They can sleep without fear, eat regular meals, access education or training, and begin to heal from trauma. Most importantly, they are given the chance to believe in a future again.
In Sierra Leone, just £70 can provide a safe home for an entire year.
That small amount can be the difference between a human surviving day to day to a young person truly living.
Your donation helps cover:
Safe accommodation for a year
A mattress
A pathway away from street life
Educational facilities @ wayout arts
£70 doesn’t just change a year.
It can change a life.
Please give what you can and share the gift with your family.
Thanks for joining us and sharing Where Love lives..and making someone feel special at Christmas by receiving the news they have a place they can finally call home.
