Story
Help three young runners take their next step
Our long-standing partners at WAYout Arts in Sierra Leone have introduced us to three brilliant young runners: Alfred, Mahdi and Lamin.
We already know these young men through the WAYout community, where LNADJ has delivered our Get Equipped and Street to Street programmes. But music and creativity aren't their only talents.
Their running journey was originally supported by the Joe Strummer Foundation,, whose team helped bring together a group of young runners through WAYout and encouraged their development and participation in races.
Although the Joe Strummer Foundation is no longer operating, the relationships, and the runners’ ambitions, haven’t disappeared. Alongside former members of the Joe Strummer Foundation team, who remain committed to supporting these young runners, we really want to help make this next opportunity happen.
So we're joining forces with former members of the Joe Strummer Foundation team and our friends at WAYout to help keep that momentum going.

All three have shown extraordinary commitment to running, competing in races across Sierra Leone and beyond. Alfred, 19, has already achieved a string of first-place finishes, while Mahdi and Lamin continue to train, compete and improve their times.
Now they have another opportunity to race, and together we want to help get them there. We're raising £1,027 to cover travel, accommodation, race registration and food for all three runners.
We want to help remove one immediate financial barrier so three talented and committed young people have the opportunity to keep developing something they're already working incredibly hard at.
At LNADJ, our work with WAYout has always been about more than delivering a project and leaving. We believe in long-term, partner-led relationships that create opportunities for young people to build skills, confidence and pathways forward.
Sometimes that begins behind a set of decks or inside a studio. This time, it starts on a running track.
£1,027 gets all three of them to the start line.
Can you help us get them there?
Let's go LNADJ family!!
Big Love,
