The 1931 Walker organ in St Thomas' is the only known example of an organ case designed by the eminent architect Sir Mervyn Macartney who was the Architect and Surveyor to St Paul's Cathedral in London and Durham Cathedral. The organ was donated by Lord Blanesburgh in memory of his brothers who were killed in the Boer war and his two nephews killed in WW1. He also donated five stained glass windows in the North and South aisles which were dedicated by the Archbishop of Canterbury on 9th May 1931.
