WMC's 'Last Day of the Proms' Community Challenge · 12 September 2020 ·
Help our team of performers reach their targets and tune in for an incredible showcase of performances!
On Saturday 12th September, young musicians from the West of England Youth Orchestra and Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, Wiltshire Jazz Academy, Wiltshire Young Musicians and Blakes Music Tuition, together with WMC volunteers and audience members will take part in a special virtual music marathon in aid of Wiltshire Music Centres Community Fundraising Appeal.
Our brave performers of all ages and stages will each prepare and a 10-minute recital which will be live streamed as a part WMCs 'Last Day of the Proms'.
Please give generously to support our superstar team of musicians who are fundraising to help to reopen Wiltshire Music Centre in September, to support the thousands of young people, ensembles and community groups who learn, rehearse and play music together at WMC every year.
Donate, share and watch live! As well as support with their fundraising, our players need an enthusiastic virtual audience for their recitals as part of this celebratory musical marathon, which takes place on the same day as the Last Night of the BBC Proms.
To register your interest in being a part of this challenge, or if you have any questions about the event, please contact Adam Laughton, Creative Learning & Community Engagement Coordinator, at creativelearning@wiltshiremusic.org.uk
