Story

Women Who Code (WWCode) invites you to join us for Women Who Code to the Finish Line, a day of movement and solidarity where our community and supporters come together and run, walk, or roll in support of our work. Around the world, people will be joining in on the fun, raising funds for our work, and demonstrating the collective impact we can have when we come together in support of a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive technology industry.

You can take part in Women Who Code to the Finish Line in any location you like, on your own or with others, and you can make your 1 mile / 1.6 km move in any way that suits your comfort, safety, and abilities. Wherever you are, you’ll be connected to a global community of support that is moving with you to help empower diverse women to excel in technology careers.

The national percentage of women in tech is 26%, and that representation drops significantly when considering women of color. WWCode to the Finish Line is your chance to support our work of empowering more diverse women to be and become leaders and innovators in the industry. Your journey of 1 mile or 1.6 km symbolizes the difference we can make collectively as a community to empower and amplify the voices of women and diverse individuals.

On September 23, 2023, we plan to raise $325,000 as we move together as a global community for WWCode. Help inspire more diverse women to find and stay in their tech careers. Together, we can move the tech industry forward by providing programming, resources, and community to empower diverse women to excel in technology.
