Story
Bill Wintersgill left Aysgarth £3,000 in his will. Bill’s legacy requests the School spend the money on a memorial recognising the contribution Bill, Wal and father Tommy made to Aysgarth. The School will honour that request and plans to rebuild the small dovecot pavilion adjacent to the Headmaster's garden. It will be restored to its former glory and renamed 'The Wintersgill Pavilion', ensuring the family will be permanently associated with cricket at Aysgarth. This is an appeal to all OAs and friends of the school who benefited from the Wintersgill's friendship, love of sport. immaculate pitches and clean shoes! We would love to raise £40,000 and the first donation is from Bill himself.
Let’s be as generous as we can and make it happen. Please donate using this site or alternatively, send a cheque to the Aysgarth School Foundation via Niki Pargeter at the School.
Thank you Bill, Wal and Tommy for the joy that you brought to so many and thank you in advance to those able to contribute.
