Story

Over 30,000 people attend Walthamstow Garden Party each year and we’re committed to keeping the festival free and accessible for all.

Last year vistors contributed £9828 in donations over the weekend of the festival. These contributions have been invested into this year’s festival to support local organisations to develop key areas of the event including Fellowship Island and the News From Nowhere Stage.

Alongside public donations, last year’s Walthamstow Garden Party was boosted by a further £8000 in contributions from local businesses involved in the event.

To build on the success of this campaign, in June 2018, Walthamstow Garden Party launched a new fundraising initiative, which invites local businesses across the borough to become Friends of Walthamstow Garden Party.

For businesses who want to become members of this scheme and want to help, we suggest a donation of £500. This will make a significant and highly valued contribution to the future of the festival, directly investing in supporting Waltham Forest’s creative community and helping you keep the Walthamstow Garden Party experience free for all.
