We are the leading NGO solely devoted to the conservation of bats. Bats play a vital role in our environment but during the last century have suffered severe declines. We are working to secure the future of bats by tackling threats such as persecution, loss of roosts and changing land use.

Story

The Kate Barlow Award (http://www.bats.org.uk/pages/the_kate_barlow_award.html) was established in memory of the late Dr Kate Barlow, former Head of Monitoring with the Bat Conservation Trust, and in honour of her contribution to bat conservation (http://www.bats.org.uk/news.php/299/kate_barlow_passionate_wildlife_conservationist_and_explorer). The Kate Barlow Award is open to PhD or MSc students anywhere in the world conducting research which has direct relevance for bat conservation The Award was announced in 2016 and since then we've been able to fund two very exciting and worthy projects. However, we need your help to ensure that we can keep supporting more early-career bat conservationists from all over the world. Please donate and spread the word.
