The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileOur Never Too Young campaign is having a major impact on the way bowel cancer patients are treated. GPs now have guidelines for people under 50 with bowel cancer symptoms. Exeter University is also looking at the symptoms that thousands of younger patients visited their GP with. This will help develop a tool for referring younger patients.
But there is still much to do.
Everyone diagnosed under the age 50 should be tested for Lynch Syndrome, which increases the risk of developing bowel cancer.
They need more advice on fertility and long term effects of treatment.
We must keep Never Too Young high profile, so that the public and GPs recognise that bowel cancer can affect younger people too.
We want to establish new research to better understand how bowel cancer develops and affects younger people, or whether screening would be helpful for some people at a younger age.
