To mark two anniversaries - 50 years since Carlisle Mencap was founded, and 20 years since Sheila Gregory became our CEO - four members of the charity's staff, Sheila, children's services operations manager Krysia Pantechis, team leader Morag Rowell, and events & fundraising officer Phil Taylor walked round Watchtree Nature Reserve near Wiggonby to raise cash to help pay for the vital refurbishment of our adult respite centre at California House. The four, well supported by support workers and service users, each walked 20 miles.
