Story

We are making an emergency appeal to support 400 families Bihar at this time£3 can give a family 2.5kg of rice, 1 kg of dhal, 1 kg or sugar, candles and matches.

Children on the Edge works in Bihar to support education with Dalit children. Sister Veena Jacob, who leads one of our partner organisations, describes the situation:  "50,000 people in the area are affected by this flood very badly. Many are staying back in the villages to safeguard their belongings, staying on the house tops, drinking the flood water, and there is no fire wood to boil the water.

Relief camps are cut off from the mainland and without basic facilities of food or clean drinking water. It's heart breaking to see children crying for food to their mothers. Mothers have nothing to provide for the children.” Children on the Edge is making an immediate response to provide rice, dahl, sugar, candles and matches for 400 families in Bihar.
