United Purpose is an international development charity with an innovative community led approach to delivering the Sustainable Development Goals and eradicating global poverty and inequality.

Story

Give it up is a sponsored challenge as part of Concern Universal's Survive Five Appeal. We’re asking people to give up their annoying habits, quit their compulsions or stop their spending for 5 weeks to raise money for Survive Five. This is a personal challenge to help you break your habit and do some good in the process.

What's your vice? It could be take-aways, alcohol, driving, chocolate, caffeine orshopping, it’s up to you! Whatever it is, will you take on the challenge and“give it up” for Survive Five?

Why?

In sub-Saharan Africa 1 in 9 children die before reaching the age of five. Preventable illnesses are responsible for the majority of these deaths, many of which could be treated with access to simple, affordable interventions.

We help fight the underlying causes of child mortality by working with communities to empower their own development, providing health checks; childhood immunisations; and prevention, treatment and control of common and preventable childhood diseases.
