More than 16 million people in the region don’t know where their next meal will come from and children are at risk of dying from starvation.  Tragically, famine has been declared in parts of South Sudan – the first to be announced worldwide in six years. It is also threatening Somalia, while Kenya and Ethiopia are facing severe food shortages from devastating droughts.

However, we need the help of our generous supporters to scale-up our response and reach even more people. With the crisis escalating, millions of people are in need of urgent support.
