Children - Making it better for our younger patients

The Dudley Group NHS Charity makes a real difference to those being treated in our hospitals or in their own homes. We are not about providing healthcare; charitable donations enable us to give extra comfort, equipment and facilities above and beyond those which are supplied by the NHS.

Story

The children’s services across Russells Hall Hospital, Outpatient and community centres treats over 23,000 children each year from birth to 16 years old.

The children’s appeal was created to help support our young patients during their treatment with a range of conditions and illnesses. It can be a daunting and scary time for our young patients, whether it is an appointment or long stays within the wards or surgery, we want their time within our services to be as comfortable and engaging as possible.

The funds raised will help to provide children with resources and activities to distract them and offer play therapy whilst an inpatient on the ward or whilst visiting our outpatient departments.

Our children deserve to have the best experience that we can give them by supporting projects that can make a real difference to children and young people in hospital.
