Story
Our runners in the Great North Run have taken on the challenge of running the half marathon to help Disability North continue to support disabled people in the region.
Disability North is a registered charity promoting inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people and their families by providing information, advice and support on any aspect of disability.
The needs of disabled people, older adults and their families are at the heart of our services and our free, impartial advice empowers them to make informed decisions, increasing the control they have over their own lives. We would like to thank all our runners including the teams entered from Sporting Chance and the parachute regiment, and wish them luck both in their training and also on the big day itself.
