Street dogs in Sri Lanka suffer from a variety of life-threatening skin conditions. 

Worms, ticks, mites and other skin parasites, can be agonising for a street dog. Often, they will lose their fur, scratch until they bleed, or in some cases, scratch themselves to death.

The great news is with special skin care these dogs can be transformed in 8 weeks with 4 treatments.Alongside our mobile field sterilisation clinic, Dogstar is running a ongoing monthly program to treat dogs with skin problems and other health issues in and around the Negombo area.

Our Community Liaison team (Team Blue) will be on the road in Dogstar’s tuk tuk to treat the street dogs. They will use on-the-spot treatments to tackle parasites, ticks and fleas, and worms.

To treat one dog for skin treatment costs £11.

To treat 10 dogs for worms costs £20.

A regular donation of just £11 a month will help treat one dog a month and will help us continue this much-needed ongoing program.
