We work directly with communities to transform animal welfare in Sri Lanka.

Story

My Double Challenge

Challenge 1 - To lose 3 stone before October to take part in the zip wire.

Challenge 2 - High Velocity Zip Wire - the fasted and longest zip wire in Europe.

Obstacles

1 – I am petrified of heights, so much so my knees knock!

2 – I am too heavy and need to lose over 3 stone to take part in the zip.

WHY you ask???!!!

I am going to take to the sky and zip at hundreds of feet in the air, over a quarry (I must be crazy) as a fundraiser for Dogstar Foundation’s Street Dog Skin Care Program to support my best friend who is running this project, she is also taking part in the zip wire challenge too. Admittedly this important cause will also help me aid my weight loss too. As of 29.06.18 I am 22 Stone and 1.5lbs.

Street Dog Skin Care provides vital veterinary care to stray dogs suffering from skin conditions, parasites and wounds in Sri Lanka.

£10 gives a dog one treatment to stop it suffering from parasites

£30 provides the 3 treatments each dog needs to fully recover and get their fur back!

I lived in Sri Lanka on and off for 2 years while volunteering and know just how much these dogs and cats need our support.

Please give what you can to help motivate me and push me to complete these challenges…it won’t be easy!
