Story
Rayana's health problems began last autumn, when she came down with measles. A little later, girl began to suffer from an inexplicable fever and, after consulting a hematologist, Rayana discovered that she had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Rayana has been through several courses of chemotherapy but, unfortunately, in May tests revealed a first early bone marrow relapse.
Right now, the doctors have prescribed her the anti-tumour drug Atriance. But although Atriance is long since registered in Russia, right now it is not available in the country at all, and hospitals and charities do not officially have the right to buy it abroad themselves. Meanwhile, patients with oncological illnesses require it on a constant basis, and often they simply can’t afford to wait. In these cases, Gift of Life comes to the rescue. The cost of the drug for Rayana is £11 000.
