Story

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Every day, 618 children and young people from across the UK arrive. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for you to make a difference. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

The money raised from Prudential RideLondon will help fund vital new parent and family accommodation. When a child is critically ill and rushed to GOSH to receive treatment, the last thing a parent should have to consider is where they will sleep and how they can afford it. Giving families free accommodation close to the hospital allows parents to have some peace of mind and a welcoming and supportive stay just a few minutes’ walk from their child’s bedside.

Our new accommodation houses will provide a ‘home away from home’ for parents from across the country. As part of Team GOSH you will make a vital difference to this new building that will support families for years to come.

Thank you.
