The Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was asked: ‘What is Qurbani?’ He answered: ‘It is the Sunnah (way of life) of your father, Ibrahim (Abraham). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT)’.”

A cow, bull, buffalo or camel will suffice for seven persons provided no one’s share is less than one seventh. You can donate for 1/ 3/ 5 or 7 shares.
