HELP Smile Trust has a mission to make difference in a society by helping to improve Health, Education, Love & Peace in a best possible manner with available resources.  During 2017 it has targeted to provide direct financial assistance to the charity "Navkshitij" (Sanskrit word for "New Horizon") based in Pune, India.  

Following their story in their own words:

 Navkshitij was established to improve the well-being of mentally challenged friends –  We take them under our wing, organize activities, teach them life skills and vocational skills, encourage them to become as independent as possible, and nurture them in a compassionate environment. The idea of Navkshitij took shape while planning and organizing a walkathon from Pune to Lonavla, for mentally challenged friends. Dr. Neelima Desai and the organisers discussed the need to set up a center for mentally challenged friends.  Navkshitij was established on November 27, 2003, the day of the walkathon. Initially, we set up a day care centre. In June 2007, Navkshitij became a residential facility.Currently we have a total of 50 mentally challenged friends living with us for life in Marunji campus along with 44 Staff members. We acquired a dilapidated dwelling from the Irrigation department on lease and made it habitable within ten weeks. 

 What we do

 AdventureThe Navkshitij Adventure Club organizes treks ranging from low altitude to the Himalayas for our ‘special friends.’ 

.LearningNavkshitij imparts life skills and vocational skills to mentally challenged adults. 

Civic senseOur ‘special friends’ create social awareness by staging street plays about the environment, traffic discipline and social issues such as the importance of a girl child.
