Story
On November 12, refugees will race with staff and volunteers from Justice Centre and Free to Run to raise awareness and funds for our joint rehabilitation programme. "It is one thing to complete a challenge and run a given distance. It's another to find the strength within oneself to accomplish it. The latter helps to push through any other life circumstances" - M, a refugee runner from East Africa.
Your support will enable refugees to hike and run together on a weekly basis, helping them to overcome the trauma they have suffered, break their isolation and have a chance to experience the outdoors. HK$100 could provide a refugee with a travel allowance from home to the trails, a lunch and water.
HK$700 could enable us to provide essential training to volunteers joining the programme, to work safely and effectively with refugees who have experienced torture and trauma.
HK$1,200 could cover the cost of public transport to enable 15 refugee women to join the weekly hiking group. ?
