Story

Love Hope Strength co-founder and musician Mike Peters from The Alarm will be leading this unique musical adventure. Trekkers will go deep into the heart of the Grand Canyons including Bryce, Zion and Arizona’s Grand Canyon – one of the best natural wonders of the world on one of the best charity events imaginable!

This challenging trek will take place from October 14th – 21st. Whilst trekkers will enjoy breathtaking scenery and intimate musical performances, this is nevertheless a tough trek which is being staged for the purpose of raising money to support people living with cancer and fulfil the aims of Love Hope Strength. 

All funds raised over the trek costs will help to fund Love Hope Strength’s grants programs.

  1. International cancer care - offering love, hope and Strength to families affected by cancer in underprivileged areas of the world by supporting new equipment, facilities and specialist services in hospitals and in the community (managed in partnership with UICC, www.uicc.org)
  2. The Get On The List programme - registering people on the international bone marrow donor list to help save lives (managed in partnership with DKMS,  www.dkms.org)
  3. The new equipment programme - changing lives in the UK and US through the provision of state of the art equipment in hospitals and health centres aimed at enhancing the care and treatment people with cancer and their carers receive (managed in partnership with accredited cancer care providers in the USA and the National Health Service in the  UK)

The Love Hope Strength Foundations (LHS) are committed to giving hope to people living with cancer. Through ‘Get On The List’ we help identify marrow donors to match with those in need of a second chance at life. We also support life-saving and life-changing projects across the globe.
