Founded in 2008 by Mike Peters of The Alarm and James Chippendale the Love Hope Strength Foundation promotes innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programmes for leukemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families.The charity raises awareness and recruits potential donors to the organ and bone marrow registers.Our treks to Everest, Kilimanjaro, Snowdon and Fuji have funded projects in those regions and we have registered over 150,000 to the Bone Marrow Register and found over 3,000 potentially life-saving matches.

after seeing the Alarm in concert over a number of years and listening to Mike talk about what he has been thru, i wanted to find a way to get involved with this charity. I have been on the 
organ and bone marrow registers, and would encourage others to join as well. recently i was told by my DR. that i am diabetic and need to lose some weight to get it under control which has been a eye opener for me.So i thought i need a challange, and this came up. my goal is to lose 70lbs i am on my way with 30 so far. And at the same time raise money for this charity.  win win.
