Little Whoopi arrived at the Sanctuary with her mum, Maggie. Both needed medical attention but before long they found themselves at a loving loan home together. Then when it was time for them to retire, they returned here.

Then, tragedy: mum Maggie became sick and sadly she had to be put to sleep. Poor Whoopi was absolutely devastated. She’d never been alone in her life before! But thankfully two little ponies –Pepsi and Mischief – came to her rescue and the three are now terrific friends.

Health wise, however, Whoopi isn’t doing as well. She has a heart murmur, Cushing’s disease and mild COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Understandably, winter isn’t her favourite time. She needs extra love and care to keep her strong and healthy.

£1000 could go towards providing Whoopi and horses like her with the care they need.
