Since 2012 Muscular Dystrophy UK has invested £1.66 million in a comprehensive programme of research aiming to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 

We are delighted to announce a commitment to raising a further £1.6 million by 2018 to fund 5 brand new projects and 9 continuing research projects. 

Scientific research is at a critical stage – Muscular Dystrophy UK is committed to accelerating the pace in developments. Our world-class, pioneering research gives hope to the 100 families newly-affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy every year.
