<span>Pedro & Jo's son Luca was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in November 2012. </span><span>Duchenne is a muscle wasting condition in which muscles weaken and waste over time. Boys need a wheelchair between age 8 and age 14 and in time heart and lungs are also affected. </span><p><span>Most boys with the condition will not survive beyond their mid-twenties.
