Story
We would like to invite you to our annual Lights to Remember celebration, where we join together to remember and celebrate the lives of those who were, and still are, so special to us.
Northern Ireland Hospice offers this free event every year to all people across the whole of Northern Ireland – whether or not you or your family have been supported by our care services.
Our Lights to Remember celebration is always very well attended and is a moving, poignant event. It’s a place to remember and share the grief we all feel at the loss of our most dearly loved ones. A time when we can come together to share our thoughts and emotions with many others who have known the same experience.
Our special Lights Celebration Event commences at the front of Castlecoole House, Castlecoole Estate, Dublin Road Enniskillen, BT74 on Tuesday, December 12 at 7pm.
Upon arrival, guests will receive a memory tag where they will be invited to write a personal message of love and remembrance. The tags will be prominently displayed on the Hospice Christmas tree over the Christmas holidays.
Warming drinks and refreshments will be served after at the Westville Hotel, Enniskillen.
Here's some of the ways your support can make a difference this Christmas:
- One hour of complete care from our team on the In-Patient Unit over Christmas will cost £25
- A typical Hospice at Home visit by a specialist nurse, helping to keep a family together for Christmas, will cost £53.82
- Overall, we’ll need to find £300 to fund each patient’s care for every 12 hours over the holidays.
A gift from you, of whatever you feel appropriate, would help to give local people in their final days the expert care we’d all want for our own loved ones.
With warmest Christmas wishes,
Northern Ireland Hospice Care Team
