Story
one me was established in 2015 following feedback from organisations working with young people. There were concerns that finance was a barrier to those aged 16-25, preventing them from moving forward in further education, their career or supporting the community.
one me offers support for development programmes like the National Citizen Service (NCS), bursaries for qualifications, start-up costs for new businesses, or activities that will help young people to change their lives.
one me has an aim to grant funding from £100 to £1,000 providing the young person can show that they have tried to get funding from the usual means but has not been successful.
Our request in return is that the young person gives support to the charity at a later date. This way the young person will help others in the future to have the same opportunities, and by doing so they will become part of the one me family.
