Story
By supporting our team of runners, you are aiding Professor Hanemann’s research team to continue looking into new treatments and a potential cure for this devastating condition, for the benefit of patients and their families.
About brain tumours
Brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet only receive 1% of government spend on cancer research.
There is hope though. Professor Hanemann's research into low-grade brain tumours is held in high regard nationally and internationally and underpins the University’s partnership with the charity, Brain Tumour Research. From this, the University became one of only four Brain Tumour Research Centre’s of Excellence in the UK, with Professor Hanemann leading the research team.
