Story

Introducing our 2019 London Marathon Legends;

Conan Castles

Dominic Sharman

Kate Wilkinson

Laura Bailey

Matthew Good

Natasha Warwood

Six legends who are going to be taking on the most famous marathon on the planet and countless hours of training through the winter to raise vital funds to help support families living with Prader-Willi syndrome. Each has their own unique reason for supporting the Association, each  has their own story to tell.

With four parents of PWS individuals and two uncles, each has a personal association with Prader-Willi Syndrome. The parent's will be balancing life with a PWS child with the constant training and running in order to support fellow families.

We will be sharing their individual fundraising pages and the associated stories on our Facebook page; www.facebook.com/pwsauk

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare, complex genetic disorder that causes motor developmental delays, a mild to moderate learning difficulty and emotional and social immaturity, leading to challenging behaviour.  During childhood, an overwhelming and insatiable chronic appetite develops, which leads to food seeking and life threatening obesity.  Imagine your son or daughter always craving more and more food and having to lock your cupboards and your kitchen to keep them safe.

There is no cure.

Whilst you may not have a personal affiliation with any of our runners, we hope you will see fit to support their united effort for families and individuals living with Prader-Willi syndrome. We wish the best to all of our runners and look forward to cheering them on on the big day.
