Sadly, It is a case of being so close, and yet so far away with our favela build project in Cajuru, Curitiba.

Lionsraw have managed to invest more than £180,000 to the costs associated with building the Children's Education Centre in Cajuru, the project is nearly there, but we do need another cash injection to get it over the line.

£40,000 will see us close to completion and see the building in full community use, children learning, playing safe, changing their lives with our help.

Currently, the foundations have been completed, all the brickwork is done, the roof is on and watertight, the floors are in, plumbing is there, windows and doors are waiting to be fitted and the landscape is taking shape. We still need to install a septic tank and to fit electrical wiring, also we need to prepare the classrooms and make them into great places for learning, this involves ceilings, lighting and other things we take for granted in western schools.
