<p><strong><b>St Stephen’s Church is busy community centre based in the heart of West Bowling</b></strong>. The church has been open since 1860.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong><b>We have been working to restore the building to make it a usable building to as many people in the area as possible</b></strong>. We know that in the last 157 years that St Stephens has been a very special place to many people and we want it to be up going for another 150 years.</p><p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38" src="http://warmtheheart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/church-band.jpg" alt="" width="1824" height="269"></p><p>Each week we run exercise classes, jobs search clubs, arts and crafts classes, refugee welcome groups and much more.</p><p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-40" src="http://warmtheheart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/geoupband.jpg" alt="" width="1824" height="269"></p><p><strong><b>NPower have allocated funding for a biomass boiler and underfloor heating but are waiting until there is funding for the floor to confirm this. This means we still need to raise an additional £60,000 to pay for the floor.</b></strong></p><p><strong><b><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37" src="http://warmtheheart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/pelletstore.jpg" alt="" width="1824" height="269"></b></strong></p><p>We have set ourselves the target of 90 days to raise the needed funds.<strong><b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>We will be launching Warm the Heart on 1st March 2017 and celebrating on 29th May 2017.</b></strong></p><p><strong><b>Our focus is on people, but getting new heating and a new floor is essential for us to work with more people throughout the year.</b></strong></p><p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-39" src="http://warmtheheart.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/outsideband.jpg" alt="" width="1824" height="269"></p><p>We will be holding a series of fun fundraising events for everyone to get involved, including, the comedian Andy Kind, music nights, quiz nights, football tournaments, a 24 hour snooker-a-thon, a jumble sale, an African fashion show, printmaking and stained glass workshops.
