We are appealing for your help to advance our work, which is to identify and fund clinical research to defeat the disease and to support the families fighting it. 

In recent weeks the neuroblastoma community has witnessed several more deaths of children; several more anniversaries of children taken previously, as well as the news of children relapsing. It has been upsetting, distressing, but sadly not surprising. This is the nature of neuroblastoma; an incredibly relentless disease. 

The survival rate for neuroblastoma is 67%, which is much lower than the average across all childhood cancers (83%). Worse still, children diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma (around half of all cases) have a 30-40% chance of survival - the odds are stacked against them from the very beginning. If children relapse or don't respond to standard treatment, any future treatment is through clinical trials (research studies). Many children will simply run out of options to treat their disease.

As a result, we work to identify and fund clinical research to improve children's access to potential new treatment options that are less toxic, with the hope of finding a cure for future generations. We collaborate internationally with other charities, academic consortia and industry to work smarter and faster to advance science.
