Brooke makes a huge difference to the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules, who don't have a voice, and improves the lives of all the families who rely on them. Where there is poverty there is poor welfare for humans and even more so for their animals - Brooke is here to alleviate the suffering. 

There are over 100 million working equines in the world. It’s estimated that more than half suffer from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition as a result of excessive workloads and limited animal health services. Our mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable working horses, donkeys and mules around the world. We relieve their immediate suffering and create lasting change by working with people, communities and organisations.    

 Around 600 million of the world’s poorest people depend on their horses, donkeys and mules for their livelihoods – to plough fields, carry produce to market, fetch water from wells and take sick people to hospital.
