We have been working with this marginalised community since 2012, the " Gypsy Dalit" community are one of the most outcast communities in the world, lacking access to mainstream education and even turned away from healthcare services. We are working with the community, teaching them about their rights, providing health screenings, skills training and education opportunities with the overarching aim to help them integrate into mainstream society. 

The centre will be a huge milestone for the project, providing a sustainable source of income for the community and a safe place than they can use to learn agricultural practices and literacy and numeracy skills. We will employ a full time teacher and a health care worker, we will work to encourage women to attend particularly for maternal health as currently women rarely attend health clinics due to local stigma.
